Description
Shell from Chinemys reevesii (not to be confused with the endangered Mauremys reevesii), a turtle commonly bred in China for pets, food and medicine. They’re valued for their ease of breeding in captivity and their general hardiness as a pet. They’ve also established an invasive population in North America.
There are nice patterns on the tops of these shells, and they have been gently treated to maintain their natural colour and ensure cleanliness. Please note that as a natural product there is variation, and the picture may not show the exact specimen you receive, but it is representative.
