Description
This is a school shark jaw mounted on a backing board, ready to hang on the wall. The backing board is approximately 25x20cm, and is pictured against a 1x1cm grid for size reference. Be aware these teeth are small but incredibly sharp. Cleaning and mounting this jaw resulted in the need for several sticking plasters.
This specimen was commercially fished, and is often one of the species found available at your local fish and chip shop. School sharks are often referred to as ‘flake’.
